Mason Daneliuk, 10, a student at Bert Edwards Science and Technology School, was Fire Chief for a Day. His name was selected from about 200 entries for the annual honour. Mason got to hold hoses, use a thermal imaging camera, cut metal doors with rescue tools, climb an aerial ladder, break glass and ride in a fire truck as part of the experience. He joined firefighters delivering pizza via fire truck to his classmates for lunch.
