Let’s move out of the past

Thank-you J.G. Ryder for your letter, Natives Can Stop The ‘Poor Us’ Attitude.’

I think that you summed up quite nicely what a lot of people have been thinking for a long time. Our native people (of which I am part one), need to move out of the past and into the year 2010. Stop putting up roadblocks to progress. We need to live in harmony, having respect for each other’s cultures and differences.

Humanity needs to come together, work together, if we are ever going to make a difference in this world.

Moving forward as a team is the best solution to this problem.

In order for this to happen, however, we need everyone to be EQUAL- meaning no more special priviliges that causes the separation. Everything should be shared together so we can all come together :)

Thank you Lisah for some sanity!
We can work together, or we can remain in different camps and continue to snipe at each other.
Let's all face facts that the gov't is not interested in quick settlements!
Let's all face facts that terrible things have happened in the past, but we are not those people, we can change the status quo if we work together!
Or we can continue to insult each other until hell freezes over and nothing comes of it.
