Creston town council took time out from last week's regular meeting to acknowledge two long serving members of Creston Fire and Rescue. Fire Chief Bruce Mabin presented Don Standen and Dean Armitage with awards for their contributions to firefighting in the Creston area.
Capt. Don Standen received the British Columbia 25-year service medal and firefighter Dean Armitage was presented with a Governor General's Exemplary Service Medal for his 20 years of service.
Members of council joined other members of Creston Fire and Rescue to pose for a photo on the Town Hall steps before proceeding with the meeting.
