    DW Builders wins provincial gold

A long-time Kamloops homebuilder was a big winner at the 18th annual Georgie Awards in Vancouver last weekend.

DW Builders took two gold Georgie Awards at the premier housing event for B.C. Twenty-eight companies were recognized across 44 categories for their leadership and dedication in home construction, renovation, design, development, marketing and sales.

DW Builders won the category Best Residential Renovation between $100,000 and $249,999 for their entry War Time Home Renovation and category Best Residential Renovation between $250,000 and $499,999 for their entry Modern Dream Renovation.

"These awards honour the best that B.C.'s building industry has to offer in residential construction," said Premier Gordon Campbell. "These awards also reflect the enormous contribution that BC's home builders make to our provincial economy."

“Kamloops regional builders hold their own at all levels of home building excellence,” said Darryl Caunt, president of the Canadian Home Builders Association for the Central Interior.

“Kamloops CHBA members were well represented as finalists. It was great to see DW Builders take home these awards with such stiff competition.”
