GWENDOLYN EDITH PRATT

1927 to 2010

Gwen Pratt

A golden heart has stopped beating,
Hard working hands put to rest.

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife and mother, Gwen, at Grand Forks, B.C., on May 21, 2010.

Throughout Gwen's life she loved her family, her home and her gardens. She had fond memories of the many friends with whom she spent time with. One special person in “Granny Gwen's” life was Madison. Gwen was kind and generous to all she knew.

Gwen's talent was working with her hands. She was creative at cooking and baking, gardening, crocheting, knitting, embroidery and ceramics. One of Gwen's favourite pastimes was dancing – she and Claude loved music, especially live bands. Her last month was a testament to her determination and love of life. She ended it with dignity and humour.

She is sadly missed by Claude, her loving husband of 64 years; daughters, Elaine (Jake) and Sandy; her grandchildren: Brad (Janice), Shannon, Shane (Trish) and Cody. She had five great-grandchildren: Chris, Taylor, Morgan, Adam and Noah.

No service by her request.
A special thank you to the hospital nurses and the home care nurses and aides who took great care of Gwen at home.
