John joined his Lord Jesus at the age of 60 on June 11, 2010, surrounded by his eldest brother Richard, his wife Denise, Father Murillo and Rev. Shenstone. He was predeceased by his mother, daughter Rainbow Mae and brother Todd.

John is lovingly survived by his wife of 19 years, Denise; Eric (Kelly) Silvester, granddaughter Mari; Peter (Robyn) Silvester, grandson Korben; granddaughter Abigail; Valerie Silvester; grandchildren: Samantha, Nathan and Kimberly; special friend, Shawn Simmons; his father John and “special Moms” Barbra and Carol; brother Ric (Nga); niece Kylamae; sister, Caroline; nieces, Gabrielle and Sarah; and brother, Steven; sister-in-law Karen Decker and niece Valerie; mother-in-law, Evelyn Kyle; sisters-in-law, Diana and Karen Kyle; brothers-in-law, Ken and Keith Kyle; nephew, Allen Kyle.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2 p.m., at Holy Trinity Church, 7252 7th Street, Grand Forks.
