Article reflects positively on Grand Forks

Media

Many people have been concerned (and rightly so) about some of the not-so-positive publicity Grand Forks has received in the past. The CBC CannaBiz program was a good illustration of that. Problematic as that program was, even it showed beautiful sweeping vistas of this pristine, secluded valley.

I strongly believe that we all need to take opportunities to get out the "good word" about Grand Forks and the Boundary Region. If you have not seen the August, 2010 issue of "Canadian Living", then you owe it to yourself to buy or borrow a copy. The last page features a full-page piece entitled "Rolling on a River." Leslie Davidson has written a beautiful article here, and readers can get a feel of how fortunate Grand Forks residents are to have the Kettle and Granby rivers flowing through the valley. This article has major exposure in a national magazine, and really captures the essence of summertime in this region.

Thank you, Leslie, for a great piece of writing, and for helping others to understand some of the true character of this wonderful place.
