To the Editor:

In the late 1980s, I was a lifeguard at James Ross Memorial Pool. I was also the youth representative on the newly formed Creston Valley Aquatic Society. We had visions of an indoor pool for the area but knew that it would take a lot of work, and a lot of money. We knew it would also take time, although I don't think we thought quite this much time! I would like to congratulate the countless volunteers who worked over the last 20 years to get Creston the indoor pool it deserves.

I look forward to bringing my own kids to the pool on my next visit to Creston, rain or shine.
