Fundraiser fashion show Saturday

As Kimberley residents may or not be aware, there is a large chess/checker board built into the Platzl at the west end. It's been there since the Platzl was redone almost ten years ago, but it's never been used.

Christine Besold from Natural Attractions would like to change that and she has organized a fundraiser for this weekend. The goal? Raise enough funds to buy large chess and checker pieces for the built in boards.

This Saturday, June 11, at Centre 64, Besold has organized a fashion show/mixer/dance, beginning at 7 p.m.

The fashion show will feature all natural fibre clothing from Natural Attractions. This is clothing for every body type, Besold says. Also featured will be some clothing from another local design team El Chupacabna.

After the fashion show, 8 Traxxs and EZ Rider will provide DJ services for the dance. An appetizer buffet will also be offered.

Tickets are $20 and available at Natural Attractions and Black Bear Books and Video.

Besold says the Elks Club will match any donations the evening raises, so with a good turnout, enough could be raised in one evening to buy the game pieces.
