Kelly Moore, the program director at CJKC-FM (Country 103), is going back to Winnipeg.
Moore, who returned to Kamloops in 2006, is returning to the Manitoba capital and radio station CJOB to be part of its coverage of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets.
CJOB, which is owned and operated by Corus Radio, wasn’t able to acquire the Jets’ play-by-play rights, which went to Sports 1290, a TSN station.
Moore, a former radio voice of the WHL’s Kamloops Blazers, spent 12 years in Winnipeg. While there he was the radio voice of the Jets for two seasons, before the franchise moved to Phoenix, and then the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.
After returning to Kamloops, where he has been the host of Mid Days with Moore on Country 103, he was three times named the B.C. County Music Association’s radio personality of the year in the 250 area code.
