MountainFest adds Canadian talent

Submitted

Gord Bamford.

Canadian country musicians Gord Bamford and Hey Romeo have joined Nashville-based Gary Allan in the Merritt Mountain Music Festival's 2012 lineup.

Bamford and Hey Romeo recently appeared alongside Allan on the festival's revamped website, merrittfest.com.

Bamford first made his mark on the Canadian charts with hit singles such as "All About Her" from his sophomore album, Life Is Good.

Hey Romeo is made up of vocalist Stacie Roper, Darren Gusnowsky on guitar, and Rob Shapiro on keyboard. They were named top new group of the year at the 2008 Canadian Country Music Association awards.

The festival, commonly known as MountainFest, is scheduled to start on Thursday, July 19 and run until Sunday, July 22 next year.
