The Elizabeth Lake Challenge has now been installed at the Key City Gallery, and it's time to get out and vote for your favourite piece.
The challenge was launched to coincide with the Key City Theatre's 20th anniversary, and many local artists pitched in pieces to be displayed. Mediums on display include watercolour, metal work, bronze statues and more. The idea was to create a unique piece of art using any type if medium that was inspired by Elizabeth Lake.
During the display period, members of the public will have the chance to vote on their favourite piece at the Key City Theatre. The winners will be given prizes for the public's pick and the judge's favourite. The voting period started on Jan. 5 and will run to Feb. 8. The winners of the challenge will receive $300 for public favourite and $500 for the judged category, and will be announced on Feb. 20.
