BANTAM TIER 3
The North Kamloops Lions have advanced to the league final after sweeping Kelowna on the weekend.
The Lions, who are two victories from qualifying for provincials, won Friday’s opener, 7-1, before scoring a 2-1 double-overtime victory on Saturday.
Nathan Demers had two goals for the Lions in the opener, and Darion Nordick helped out with two assists. Felix Nachtigal, Jordon Moore, Chet Flanagan, McCoy Pearce-Orr and Tony Dennis also scored in support of winning goaltender Caelen Holling.
Nordick was the hero in Saturday’s thriller, and Matt Hicketts was the winning goaltender. Nachtigal had the other Kamloops goal.
The Lions will meet South Okanagan in the final.

NOVICE
Reagan Milburn had four goals and two assists and Brady Milburn had two of each as the Red Army dropped the Silvertips 14-9 on Saturday.
Matthew Mariona had three goals in the victory, Kobe Anderson had a goal and two helpers, Mitch Harnett scored twice and Nathan Underhill and Devin Benson singled.
Quentin Ouimet was the winning goaltender.
Luke Petrie had four goals for the Silvertips, with Tyson Galloway scoring three times. Braiden Clark and Austin Hammond also scored in support of goaltender Colton Day.

Jackson Gilroy’s first goal and Colton Woitas’ hat trick helped the Timbits Bulldogs defeat the Timbits Bruins 8-6.
Maxwell Hinkson also had two goals in the victory, and Temeke Gottfriedson and Owen Geiger singled.
Ryan Sanderson, with three, Kurtis Pearson, Bradley Boudreau and Adam Haines replied for the Bruins.

Jackson Steed had two goals and two assists to lead the Warriors to a 6-4 victory over the Thunder.
Kaleb Preymak, Mathew Ward, Jakob Sherwood and Maxwell Smith also scored for the Warriors, who went with Ashton Dorey in goal, and Ryan Larsen chipped in with two helpers.
Ashton Taylor scored all four goals for the Thunder.

BANTAM TIER 1
The Jardine’s Blazers won Game 3 of their best-of-three playoff series with Vernon on Saturday, dropping their visitors 4-1.
The victory moves the Blazers into the league final against Kelowna. Kamloops is the defending OMAHA champion.
Jacob Faraday, Kevin Davis, Dexter Robinson and Max James scored for the Blazers, and Alex Winters had two assists. Bailey De Palma was the winning goaltender.

ATOM RECREATIONAL
Josh Rankin stopped three shootout attempts to backstop the Sandman Ice Hawks to a 5-4 victory over the Kodiaks.
Jamie Daniels had two goals, including the shootout winner, with Austin Burke, Liam Edstrom and Xander Denis also scoring in regulation. Braeden Bartlett had two assists in the victory.
The Kodiaks went with Michael Love in goal, and got goals from Domenic Comita, Nolan Virgo, Alex Deneault-Isnardy and Jacob Sherlock.

Zach Bachand had two goals and Tristen Beauchamp singled as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Cobras 3-1.
Jordan Munegatto’s goaltending helped the Jackets’ three goals stand up.
Matthew Nixon scored for the Cobras, who went with Nathan Sandulescu in goal.

A.J. McInnis had three goals and two assists and Colton Davoren also had three goals as the Firehawks beat the Thunder 10-1.
Braeden Crowe, with two, Jakob Bennett and Grady Christiansen had the other goals for the Firehawks, who went with Ryan Clark in goal.
Sam Fawcett was in goal for the Thunder, and Parker Erickson scored.

Brandon Gremaud had three goals and Joshua Bishop, Travis Maciak and Jackson Diehl each scored once as the Kougars defeated the Bullets 6-4.
Gremaud also had two assists in support of goaltender Summit Krause.
Dakota Hofmann, with three, and Liam Rose had the goals for the Bullets, who had Alexander Viventi in goal.
The Kougars went on to tie the Sharks 5-5, with Gremaud and Riley Demchuk each scoring twice in support of Krause.
Bishop had the Kougars’ other goal.
Jordan Swoboda and Devon Tourneau each scored twice, Yvonne Manwaring singled and Birch Mierau handled the goaltending for the Sharks.

PEEWEE RECREATIONAL
Grayden Baker scored twice as the Brock Auto Centre Rebels and the RJ Toor Ice Dragons played to a 3-3 draw.
Along with Baker’s pair, the Rebels also got a score from Jake Tabor, two assists from Jack Thomson and goaltending from Scott Poelzer.
Jordan Brown had two goals for the Ice Dragons, Garret Miller chipped in a single and Andrew Hall had two assists in support of goaltender James Lamb.

The Blades finished first at the Spring Thaw tournament in Lynwood, near Seattle.
The Blades opened with a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Badgers. Pierce Huser had a goal and two assists, and Jacob Pilon, Calum Carrigan and Connor Hall singled. Ethan Herndier played goal the entire weekend for the Blades.
Huser had two goals and three assists as the Blades went on to beat the North Delta Giants 7-3. Hall had three goals, Pilon had two helpers, and Erik Anderson and Dawson Reid added singles.
The Blades were tripped up in their third game, a 3-1 loss to the Vancouver Thunderbirds. Pilon scored the goal.
Herndier had the shutout and Hall scored twice as the Blades defeated the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies 3-0. Huser had the other goal.
Kamloops got its revenge on the T-Birds in the final, winning 4-2 on the strength of Huser’s two goals and two assists. Pilon and Hall also scored in the victory.
The Blades’ game MVPs were Jayden Williams, Kyle Pitts, Hall, Huser and Herndier.

ATOM DEVELOPMENT
The Kamloops Titans won an exhibition game and a league game on the weekend.
The Titans dropped Chase 7-5 in an exhibition contest. Connor Milburn scored twice, with Brandon Gremaud, Brendan Kirschner, Ben Ward and Sebastian Ouimet also scoring.
Justin Mitchell and Adam Niles split the goaltending duties.
Milburn and Gremaud each scored three times as the Titans dumped Vernon 8-4 in a league game. Kirschner also scored, with Ward and Luke Bateman each getting two assists and Mitchell getting the goaltending victory.

The Western Roofing Spitfires wrapped up the regular season with a weekend split on the road.
The Spitfires, whose bench was depleted by illness and injuries, fell 6-1 to the host Vernon peewee girls on Saturday. Jayden Russell was the lone Western Roofing player to find the twine in support of netminder Bailey Monteith.
The Spitfires battled back Sunday to edge the Winfield Bruins, 4-3. Josh Van Unen scored three times as Western Roofing rallied from a 2-1 deficit to claim victory. Lane Grunerud rounded out the scoring. Nathan Nesci earned the goaltending victory.
The Spitfires, who finished with an 11-8-2 record, will now rest up in preparation for playoffs, slated for March 2-4 in Penticton.

The 7 Point Millworks Jets, playing their second-last game of the regular season, lost 7-3 to the visiting Kelowna Hurricanes on the weekend.
The Jets are scheduled to finish the regular season against the Scotiabank Titans on Feb. 28, 5:45 p.m., at Memorial Arena.
Elijah Joly was in goal for the Jets against Kelowna, and Zane Ferguson, Carter Adams and Jacob Proulx scored the Kamloops goals.

PEEWEE TIER 1
Goaltending and defence helped the Jardine’s Blazers sweep a best-of-three playoff series against the Vernon Mustangs.
The Blazers opened with an 8-0 victory. Brendan Semchuk, with three, Rylan Van Unen, with two, Brett Olstad, Tyler Ward and Ryan Chyzowski scored the goals.
Van Unen and Chyzowski each had two goals as the Blazers went on to beat Vernon 5-0. Semchuk also scored.
Max Palaga and Reid Gladman shared the goaltending.

MIDGET TIER 1
The North Kamloops Lions beat Vernon 6-4 in Game 3 of a best-of-three playoff series.
Vernon had forced the third game by winning 5-4.
In that game, Marshall Sidwell scored twice and Jacob Coelho and Adam Struch singled in support of goaltender Ty Hamer-Jackson.
In their clinching victory, the Lions got two goals from Struch and two assists from Jordan Lingel, Bobby Kashuba and Sidwell. Brady Jorgensen, Jacob Coelho, Matt Norman and Sidwell also scored, and Kyle Michalovsky posted the victory.

The North Kamloops Lions lost 3-2 to Westside on Sunday.
The loss means the season is over for the Lions. Adam Hildebrand and Eric Heichert scored for Kamloops, which had Riley Woodland in goal.

FEMALE MIDGET
Morgan Nowoczin had two goals to lead Team 1 to a 4-1 victory over the Hellcats.
Kala Stone and Katy Thorne also scored for the winners. Fawn Pierro-Zabotel had the Hellcats’ goal.
