Well I fell off the wagon this week. I missed one of my training runs during the week and after a night at the Daybreak Rotary’s Crabfest and other things going on in my life I just couldn’t make it to the Sunday morning run. My run partner had said she was also not going to make it, so I felt a bit better until I found out she was actually sick.
On the bright side I did go and get myself some new shoes. They are awesome! I have never had anyone assess how I run before but when I went up to Runners Sole the staff was very knowledgeable and helped me find the exact shoe for my foot and running type. On the one training run I did mange to go on they made a huge difference and my feet felt great.
After a few days of not running I was dreading getting back to training. I found out that my friend Ted Hallman was also doing the training but on Tuesdays. He sent me a note on a day when I had time for a run but didn’t feel like going which said “the hard part is getting out to run but I pay attention to how great I feel after the run and it keeps me motivated”. I thought back to how good I feel after I go for a run and decided that today was the day to get back into training!
