    Training Talk: Ryan Scorgie

Two out of three ain’t bad. At least that is what I told myself this week when I only managed to get in one training run and my group run.

I thought I had it all planned out. I was going to do my two runs during the week. They were in my calendar, but somehow life got in the way and I only managed to do one.

As I rolled out of bed Sunday morning I was actually excited to meet my group and go for a run. That was until I looked outside and saw that is was snowing! As I contemplated not going, I remember what Jo had said that sometime just getting out to do the run is the hardest part.

Despite the snow I made it to the run and it turned into a beautiful run. I felt rejuvenated and energized afterward which is usually how I feel.

Even though I only managed two runs I still feel great. I have noticed my endurance is better, I don’t get as tired while I am running and I am even looking forward to the next time I get to run.

All in all, I would say that the training is starting to pay off. I hope we start having more nice weather because that sure makes it more appealing to go out for a run. It’s nice to know that even if the weather isn’t that great, it still feels good to go for run.
