After sweeping the costal conference champion Power River Kings earlier this month, the Penticon Vees are preparing to face the Alberta champions in the Doyle Cup.
The Vees will face the Alberta Junior Hockey League title winning Brooks Bandits this Friday in Brooks after the Bandits knocked off the Alberta north champion Fort MacMurray Oil Barons in game five April 12.
Although the series will begin in Brooks, the Vees will have home ice advantage. The format will see the first three games played in Brooks and the next four in Penticton if the first two games are split. However, Brooks will only get two home games if either team wins back to back to open the series.
