Two Kamloops women have been identified as the dead in a single-vehicle collision near Squilax Friday morning.

The two women in the front seats, both aged 71, were taken to Royal Inland Hospital for serious injuries. There has been no update on their status.

The two women in the back both died from blunt force trauma injuries due to the impact of the van they were in striking a median and then a rock face.
