Radio stations pinch pennies for prostate cancer fundraiser

Their news teams have covered countless stories about cancer, but now the disease is hitting home on a personal level.

Radio NL and its sister stations The River and Country 103 are collecting donations for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of B.C. as NL’s Morning Mayor Peter Olsen fights the disease.

On Monday, the stations launched Peter’s Pennies for Prostate, a fundraiser that aims to collect as many pennies as possible before June 15.

Pennies can be dropped off at all CIBC branches in Kamloops.

All donations go directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of B.C.
