The Kamloops Rattlers 2 opened their season with a pair of weekend victories.
The Rattlers opened with a 12-3 victory over North Okanagan 3. Jackson Steed and Caleb Campbell each scored three goals for the Rattlers, with Jax Anderson scoring twice and Devon Caldwell, Cooper Kenzie, Brady McCutcheon and Brendan Hunchak singling.
Millan Webster was in goal for that victory, and also backstopped the Rattlers to a 6-4 victory over Kelowna 2 on Sunday. Kenzie had two goals, with Campbell, Hunchak, Justin Vinterlik and Caldwell each scoring once.

Trey Dergousoff scored five times to lift the Kamloops Rattlers 1 to a 6-5 victory over North Okanagan 1 in Thompson Okanagan league play Saturday at Memorial Arena.
Landon Kinney, coming off the hardhat award for hardest-working player the previous week, added one more goal to help the Rattlers' cause. Michael Nolander made a crucial blocked shot in the dying minutes to help preserve the victory and earn this week's hardhat award. Reed Watson was winning goaltender.
The Rattlers 1 will next take on their cross-town rivals, the Kamloops Rattlers 2, in league action Sunday, 2:30 p.m., at Memorial Arena.

MIDGET
The Rattlers have gotten off to a 3-0 start to their season.
They opened with a 13-2 victory over Revelstoke, behind four goals from Riley Peterson and two each from Brogan Lloyd, Ryland Cochrane and Colton Boomer each scored twice. Mitch Jones, Cole Cocker and Curtis Ruttan added singles in support of goaltender Liam Befurt.
The Rattlers then erased a 4-1 deficit and beat a short-benched Merritt side, 10-6. Peterson scored four times, including three shorthanded goals, to get the Rattlers going. Max James and Cochrane each scored twice, with Josh Shank and Jones adding one apiece. Befurt was in goal.
Michael Lund scored three times for Merritt, with Levi Loewen, Jared Murphy and Skyler McLeod adding singles. Anand Bains was in goal.
The Rattlers then beat the North Okanagan No. 1 Legends, 11-3, with Peterson and James each scoring three times. Jones and Cochrane got two each and Ruttan added one. Shank was in goal.

BANTAM
Josh Bosher scored five times to lead the Kamloops Rattlers No. 2 to a 10-6 victory over Kelowna No. 1 on Saturday.
Brendan Bickert, with three, Kaiden Merz and Ryan Dergousoff also scored for the winners, who trailed 5-2 midway through the second period.
The Rattlers next play Sunday when they meet the Rattlers No. 1 at Memorial Arena, 5:30 p.m.
