I've heard several times now that Abacus will be "given huge electrical subsidies and tax breaks" if/when it goes ahead. One wonders if B.C. Hydro's magnanimity is provided through rate increases to its other customers?
The question is: If the Abacus naysayers manage to quash this project, will other customers be entitled to the same B.C. Hydro largesse?
If cheap power is available in Kamloops, I wouldn't mind getting some of it.
