A known prolific offender spotted inside a stolen vehicle in front of a suspected drug house resulted in a triple arrest for Kamloops RCMP Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Staff Sgt. Grant Learned said a plainclothes officer noticed the offender in front of a house on 200-block Cypress Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle was followed and then stopped by RCMP officers. An arrest was made and the suspect searched, when investigators found more than 10 grams of methamphetamine packaged to be sold on the street.

The suspect was charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking and was taken into custody until he appears in court on May 17.

Officers turned their attention to the house on Cypress Avenue, where they executed a search warrant at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday.

Inside, two other prolific offenders were found with an array of stolen goods, including mountain bikes, a BMX bike, electronic equipment, bank cheques and government-issued identification.

Many of the items were linked to thefts from vehicles in town.

Police also found a small amount of methamphetamine in the house and are recommending multiple count charges of possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine against both suspects.
