Dylan Armstrong and Justin Rodhe, both of Kamloops, finished at the top of the shot put competition at the Cayman Invitational track meet in George Town, Cayman Islands, on Wednesday.
Armstrong hit 21.15 metres to win, while Rodhe was second in 20.36m.
Armstrong is from Kamloops and is gearing up for the London Olympics. Rodhe, originally from the U.S., is a resident of Kamloops who recently became eligible to compete for Canada at international events, including the Olympics.

Wally Brain and Pete Grinberg combined to shut out B.C. Rivers Consulting in a Kamloops Recreational Soccer League 45-plus game Wednesday, as Duffy’s Pub scored a 3-0 victory.
Bill Frymire had two goals for the pubmen, with Kevin Fertile rounding out the scoring with a singleton.
In another 45-plus game, NRI Distribution and Frick and Frack played to a 1-1 draw.
Luis Adamo had the NRI goal, while Kelly Beauchamp replied on a penalty kick for Frick and Frack. Duncan Kerr was NRI’s goalkeeper.

Three Kamloops teams are scheduled to compete at the Okanagan senior girls soccer championship in Summerland next week.
The Valleyview Vikings defeated the Sa-Hali Sabres 2-1 in a shootout on Wednesday to win the West Zone AA title. The teams, along with the third-place Westsyde Whundas, will head to Okanagans on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sa-Hali is scheduled to play host to the provincial championship from May 31 to June 2, and will qualify as the host team.
