Gimme, gimme — where does it end? I just don't get it. What part of "there is no money" does Susan Lambert and the BCTF not get?
This is a time of restraint. Nothing seems to suit this woman. She got a mediator but he is not suitable — I doubt the Lord Jesus Christ would be suitable to her.
What right does she have to hold students in this province hostage while she dictates to members of her union what they can and cannot do in their own time? This is a prime example of a union and its leadership out of control. Education is the right of every child in this province, and that should include special times like graduation etc.
From a taxpayers point of view (and thank heavens my children are out of the system) this union needs to be dismantled and replaced with a more professional and respectable organization that will be a credit to the teaching profession.
