Some 235 Cranbrook area members of Division 563 of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference joined thousands of their Canadian Pacific Railway colleagues on picket lines Wednesday, as a cross-country strike began. The major points of contention are pensions, some work rules and fatigue management, according to union leadership.
