    Volunteers Needed

    Volunteer Kamloops is a non-profit charity supporting community volunteering.

    Timeraiser: Volunteers needed June 13 for flyer stuffing. Also on Wednesday, June 20, on the day of the event between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to help with venue setup, hanging artwork, organizing tickets, handouts, tables and running last minute errands. Between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., volunteers are needed to greet participants, act as silent auction marshals and help with registration. More information can be found at kamloops.timeraiser.ca.

    The Shayla Rae Dawn Driver Memorial Bursary Fundraiser: Looking to fill a variety of positions, including setup/tear down of event, managing booths, face painting and cash handling. Help also needed with a silent auction.

    EUReKA! Science Program: Volunteer instructor needed to assist instructors with all camp projects. Responsible for helping with setup/cleanup of all activities, interacting with campers ages 7-14, helping with their projects, making sure they’re paying attention and making sure camp materials are shared evenly. Looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic about learning (science in particular) and have some experience/interest in working with children.

    Kamloops Senior Citizens Railroad Society: Volunteers needed to operate train and/or cashier position. Train operator, will operate the mini train (Wildlife Express) at the BC wildlife Park. Cashier, will sell tickets for train rides.

    BIG Little Science Centre: Volunteer greeter and room supervisor needed. Must have a friendly personality to greet visitors at the door, explain the BIG Little Science Centre layout, visitor services and take fees.
