City webcams pick up B.C. Lions action

Football fans who can’t get to Hillside Stadium to watch the B.C. Lions training camp can catch some of the action on their computer.

Live streaming of the team at the stadium is now available via a newly installed webcam from 8 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

Webcams are already in the TCC fieldhouse and Canada Games pool, and more are planned for installation at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre this summer on the NHL and Olympic ice sheets.

All cameras are at such a distance that they cannot be used for surveillance or security purposes.

The Lions are in town until June 20. To watch the stream, go to www.kamloops.ca/webcams.
