An RCMP dog handler tracked a suspect who fled from a Chase grow-op for 12 kilometres before the hunt was discontinued.
Two of the three men found at a residence at Loakin Bear Creek Road were arrested and police are looking for the third in wake of the raid.
Chase RCMP Const. Carl Kennedy said Sunday police found 1,000 plants on all three floors of the house outside the village on June 6. Police were checking on a prolific offender who was under a court order and stumbled upon the grow-op.
Kennedy said two men found at the house were arrested and released. They are scheduled to appear in court in August. Police are also conducting a property search to find the owner of the home.
