Matt Goerke of Lake Helen, Fla., won both MX1 Pro Class motos Saturday at the Monster Energy Motocross National Series event at Whispering Pines.
Goerke finished first overall and is leading the series standings.
Tyler Medaglia of Kemptville, Ont., was on the podium in both motos, finishing second in the first moto and third in the second. Bobby Kiniry of Holland Patent, N.Y., picked up third- and fourth-place finishes. Colton Facciotti crashed and finished 40th in the first moto, but bounced back to take second in the next moto.
Brock Hoyer of Williams Lake was eighth and 10th and is 10th in points, with Kamloops’ Josh Allen 11th and 14th to move to 12th in points. Greg Small, also of Kamloops, was 12th and 34th and is 18th in the standings.
Teddy Maier of Fort Dodge, Iowa, was first in both MX2 Pro Class motos, with Jeremy Medaglia of Kemptville, Ont., second in both. They are 1-2 in series points.
Topher Ingalls of Templeton, Calif., was third in the second moto, with Surrey’s Kyle Beaton third in the first moto.
The nationals series is scheduled to head to Calgary on Sunday.
