Brianna Kennedy was crowned Sam Steele Sweetheart for 2012 on Friday evening, the culmination of months of hard work.

By her side as Cranbrook's youth ambassador for the coming year will be Sam Steele Princess Taylor Miller.

The pair were crowned Friday, June 15 at the Key City Theatre during the annual Youth Ambassador Pageant.

The eight candidates wowed the sold-out crowd with their diverse talents, from singing to dancing to photography, and entertaining speeches.

The event kicks off Cranbrook's biggest weekend, Sam Steele Days, which will continue Saturday and Saturday. See www.samsteeledays.org for a full calendar of events as the citizens of Cranbrook celebrate their city.
