Win a clothesline, save on hydro bill

I read with interest Mike Youds’ article on the Andersons, winners of a laundry room makeover courtesy of B.C. Hydro. One of the tips mentioned in the article was the simple act of hanging clothes to dry on a clothesline, rather than putting them in the dryer.

I want to make sure that the Andersons (and your readers) are aware that the B.C. Sustainable Energy Association here in Kamloops is currently making the switch to hanging clothes to dry even easier.

By partnering with B.C. Hydro Power Smart and Kamloops Home Hardware Building Centre, we’re able to give away 80 free clotheslines over the next few weeks. Since dryers are the second-biggest users of power of all home appliances, this can make a big difference to your power bill.

To enter to win a free clothesline, residents can follow the links at www.bcsea.org/kamloops to The Solar Laundry Project. It’s a great way to save energy, save money, and help save the planet!
