Regarding Kamloops-North Thompson NDP candidate Kathy Kendall’s comments in the June 14 story: NDP criticizes changes to B.C. welfare rules
Kathy, I beg your pardon!
She said that because claimants must first look for work for five weeks instead of just three is a “cruel” policy.
If she would have read and reviewed the news release from the premier, she would have read that because of the new five-week ruling, claimants would qualify for a one-time hardship funding which would give them allowance for food and lodging.
God help us taxpayers of B.C. if the NDP ever forms government. Already making comments, shooting from the hip without — once again, typical NDP policy — checking facts.
Taxpayers in Kamloops have to have their heads examined if they think of giving Kendall the job as their MLA. She is not worth the MLA salary of $101,859 per year for making a commentary like this.
Unbelievable, but then again, she is an NDPer.
