    Minor Baseball: Guerra helps Bluejays to Peewee House title

    BANTAM A

    The bantam A Kamloops Red Sox completed their season with a 13-6 loss to the Chase Hurricanes on Thursday.

    Dallas Antonia tripled, while Ethan Thacker, Nick Heinemann, D.J. Lapierre, Lucas Lott and Mathew O’Laney scored runs.
    Lapierre started, then got relief help from Heinemann and Kaleb Priestley.

    BANTAM AAA

    The Junior RiverDogs were swept 10-0, 3-1 and 12-0 by the top-ranked Vancouver Mounties on the weekend.

    In the opener, Samuel Avila doubled, while Lance Martin, Blaise Brewer and Vincent Daley singled for the RiverDogs. Bryant Jameus and Avila pitched.

    Brendan Coulter pitched a complete game in the second contest, allowing three hits and striking out eight. Martin had a double, while Riley Jepson and Jameus added hits.

    In the finale, Martin and Daley pitched, with Jepson managing the only RiverDogs hit.

    PEEWEE HOUSE

    Preston Guerra, the player of the game, led the Bluejays to a thrilling 6-5 victory over Chase in the championship game.

    In the third-place game, the Tigers, led by player-of-the-game Alex Hall and with Nic McInnes getting the victory, topped the Yankees. The score wasn’t available.

    In the fifth-place game, Noah Lamarche led the Mets to an 11-7 victory over the Astros, who got three strong innings from Jackson Langereis.
