U14 GIRLS
The Blaze Tier 1 side won one, lost one and tied a pair of games in the U15 Premier Division of the Baker Blast in Bellingham, Wash., on the weekend.
The Blaze began by earning a 1-1 draw with the Gig Harbor Premier U15’s. Hannah McDonald scored for the Blaze.
Kamloops then beat Richmond-Fusion FC Academy, 2-0, on two goals form Sasha Sirianni.
In its next game, the Blaze got a goal from Kelly Lloyd on a penalty to tie North Vancouver, 1-1.
In its semifinal, the Blaze lost 3-1 to FC Edmonds U15’s, the team that went on to win the division. Sirianni had the Blaze’s goal.
Brenna Worsfold was in goal for all Blaze games.

U13 GIRLS
The Blaze opened the Baker Blast in Bellingham, Wash., on Friday with a 3-1 loss to Surrey Pegasus. Emily Mann scored for the Blaze.
On Saturday morning, the Blaze fell 1-0 to Snohomish United Red. The Blaze lost goalkeeper Kayla Pehl midway in the game with a concussion and she sat out the rest of the tournament.
Later, MIFC Force Washington beat the Blaze 5-0 in a weather-shortened last game.

U12 BOYS
The Blaze Orange won the 12-team U13 COPA Division at the Baker Blast in Bellingham, Wash., on the weekend.
On Friday, Kolton Storzuk scored for the Blaze in a 1-1 tie with the Magnuson Ford Mariners FC. Evan Crowe was in goal for Kamloops.
On Saturday, the Blaze opened with a 6-1 victory over the Whatcom FC Rangers White. Kolton Storzuk and Evan Guizzo, each with two, Tyson Gayfer and Owen Cotito scored for the Blaze, which had Spencer LeDoux in goal.
Later Saturday, Crowe earned the shutout as the Blaze beat Chilliwack FC, 2-0. Zach Rodrigue and Cotito had the goals.
That left the Blaze second in its pool after the round-robin and sent it into the semifinals in a wild-card position.
On Sunday, the Blaze won that semifinal, beating the mariners, 2-0. Storzuk scored both goals and LeDoux was in goal.
In the championship game, the Blaze beat San Carlos FC, which was unbeaten to that point, 1-0. Jared Keim had the goal and Crowe was in net.

The Blaze White finished 0-3 at the Baker Blast in Bellingham, Wash., on the weekend.
The Blaze opened with a 1-0 loss to Richmond United.
In Game 2, the Blaze White lost 4-0 to New Millenium FC.
In its third game, the Blaze dropped a rain-shortened 2-1 decision to the Whatcom FC Rangers. Eric Marasco had the Blaze goal.
Angus Mcquillan-Gordon was in goal for all three games.
The coaches’ choices as best players in each game were Brian Buffel, Elias Wallace and Keenan Gannon.

U12 GIRLS
The Blaze White won the gold medal in their 12-team division at the Baker Blast in Bellingham, Wash., on the weekend.
In the process, the Blaze won five games and allowed but one goal.
The Blaze opened Friday with a 1-0 victory over North Vancouver-Northshore Academy. Calli Lawrence had the Kamloops goal.
Next, the Blaze took out FC Edmonds Fusion, 2-0, on goals from Danielle Loring and Myka Jardine-Arnold.
Lawrence then scored twice in a 2-0 victory over the WFC Rangers GU13 Royal.
In its first playoff game, the Blaze got past Chilliwack FC, 3-1. Lawrence, Athena Louvros and Avery Gilbert had the goals. Chilliwack got its goal on a penalty shot.
In the final, the Blaze White got past Blaze Orange, 2-0, meaning Kamloops teams won gold and silver medals.
Lawrence had both goals for the winners, the second coming on a penalty shot.
Rhean Holling was in goal for all five of White’s games.

U16 BOYS
The Blaze finished second in their division at the Baker Blast in Bellingham, Wash.
The Blaze was third in its group after the round-robin.
It beat Guilford 2-1 on goals by Nikhil Desai and Zach Hanghofer, then beat and Snohomish, 8-0. Hanghofer and Cole Belland each scored twice, with singles from Logan Zimmerman, Chris Mendes, Lavraj Lidher and Austin Alentejano. In its final round-robing game, the Blaze lost 2-0 to the New Millenium.
The Blaze went to extra time and penalty kicks before beating Seattle United Shoreline in a semifinal game. Belland, Kevin Kneale, Desai and Hanghofer scored and goalkeeper Ben Sama was terrific in the shootout.
A number of injuries in the semifinal left the Blaze with one healthy bench player for the final and it was beaten 6-0 by the Fusion, an HPL team from Richmond.
The Blaze next plays in the A Division at provincials at McArthur Island, July 5-8.

U13 BOYS

The Blaze opened with a 1-0 victory over Chilliwack FC, then beat the U14 WFC Rangers, 5-0.
In its third game, the Blaze got by the Whatcom FC Rangers BU, 4-0.
In its semifinal game, the Blaze defeated CFM Apollo, 1-0.
Kamloops then won the final, 2-1. The name of the losing team wasn’t available.
The Blaze got five goals from Jacob Henderson, two from Dimitri Louvros and singles from Samad Twemlow, Scott Lemphers, Evan Monroe, Geoff Hanks and Reid Gladman.
Colten Gerlib was in goal for all five games, and came within 30 seconds of not allowing a goal.
