Interesting title on David Charbonneau’s article — when my life ends should be my choice.
We call ourselves a civilized, caring people and have convinced ourselves that killing babies legally, now assisted suicide and in some places euthanasia is because we want everyone to have their rights except the babies and maybe helpless old people. We just want to make our world a better place, right?
Hitler convinced many that getting rid of the Jews (he called non-human race) the elderly, disabled, handicapped were dispensable so millions died to create a better world.
In America since abortion was legalized to get rid of (non persons) 53 million have died.
Canada doesn’t give stats anymore. I wonder why? What is abortion? It is killing someone who is alive, a painful killing of an innocent human — the product of a male and female with a totally distinct human genetic code.
Dr. H. Gordon, a professor of medical genetics at the Mayo Clinic said: "When life begins is no longer a question it is an established scientific fact at conception.”
You read and hear about methods used to kill the baby: burning with saline solution; dismembering by D+C suctioning; and vacuuming the pieces out and other ways too barbaric to mention. Then you hear the lie that the baby can't feel it. It almost makes Hitler’s gas chambers sound compassionate.
What if the baby was conceived through rape or incest? The stats say only about 0.6 would account for that. Both are something no girl or woman should have to live with, but they do. The aborted baby isn't that fortunate. So why do the rest die?
As humans in this caring world let’s stop the killing and fight for the rights of innocent victims. Let’s teach our children and youth and all people that the life of every human is important and has a purpose.
Let’s be part of making our nation one that fights for life rather than death.
And David, God doesn't offer you life capriciously. You get to choose.
