The City of Merritt's annual report and financial information from 2011 are now available online for the public to view.
The financial information listed includes the city's debts, total assets and liabilities, council and senior staff salaries, and any payments over $25,000 for goods and services as of Dec. 31, 2011.
The 2011 annual report reviews the municipal government's operations for the year, with separate sections for the public works, leisure services, economic development, and other departments.
The reports can be found online at the City of Merritt's website, www.merritt.ca. Selecting the menu item "Annual Reports" under the "What's New" tab takes users to the correct page.
Provincial law requires municipalities to prepare both documents yearly.
