A middle-age man wiped out on his motorcycle while speeding along Kootenay Way on Friday, ending up in hospital.
The crash happened near the Windchime Mobile Home Park at around 9 p.m. on Friday when the rider raced into a curve of the road and locked the brakes, which caused him to tumble off the bike, according to witnesses.
He was transported to Royal Inland Hospital suffering from a serious leg injury and remained over the weekend. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
