Bus shelters removed at wrong time

In this crazy 40 degree weather, as a avid city bus user I have noticed all the benches and rain/shade shelters have been all taken away and won't be back till August sometime.

I find this a horrible time to take away such a thing from people who constantly use the bus system around town. It is affecting all sorts of people within our community (the elderly, persons with disabilities, families with young children or babies ETC).

We all want to be comfortable in this summer weather and standing in the sun for certain people is unbearable and uncomfortable. Why couldn't Kamloops transit have at least waited till fall to take away the benches and shelters?
