    Missing swimmer found on bank

Kamloops Fire & Rescue's patrol boat was dispatched Friday afternoon following a report of a possible drowning on the North Thompson River.

But about 30 minutes after the report was made by friends of the man, who were onshore near Schubert Drive and Fort Avenue, he was found safely on the other side, a few hundred metres upriver.

B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics were dispatched to check the man's health. He was sitting up on the shoreline of the Tk'emlups Indian Band reserve.

A fire truck was stationed on the Overlander Bridge as well as spotters on the North Kamloops side of the North Thompson River.
