CBC show offers businesses unique opportunity

Producers of CBC's hit show Dragons' Den are looking for Canadian companies to participate in the second season of the reality business show The BIG Decision.

Two of Canada's top investors, Jim Treliving and Arlene Dickinson, who each founded companies worth hundreds of millions of dollars, are on a mission to spend their time and money turning around struggling Canadian companies by offering expert advice and possible financial investment.

The BIG Decision will be filmed on location at participating businesses.

Companies that have been in operation for at least three to five years with gross revenue of $500,000 per year and up and more than five employees are eligible to apply, so long as they are registered in Canada, fluent English speakers, and willing to commit to being filmed for up to two weeks.

Business must be privately held family businesses, partnerships or limited partnerships.

Interested companies should act quickly as shooting begins in September.

Application forms are found at cbc.ca/thebigdecision.

Questions can be directed to senior researcher Jennifer Hayes at 416-205-5294 or jennifer.hayes@cbc.ca.
