Driver fatigue is suspected in the single-vehicle crash on Highway 1 Saturday that sent a Calgary family of five to hospital with serious, life threatening injuries.
But police are still asking for any possible witnesses to come forward.
A husband and wife and their three children aged 16, 14 and eight were driving through the night from Calgary to Vancouver when they reached Blind Bay near Salmon Arm at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday and left the road.
"Police are looking at fatigue as a contributor," said RCMP Const. Lesley Smith.
By Sunday afternoon, all occupants, whose names were not released, were still being treating in hospital.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Salmon Arm RCMP detachment at (250) 832-6044.
