    Barnhartvale busy with work crews

    Three projects on the go

The streets of Barnhartvale are getting tough to navigate because of various projects going on right now.

City capital projects manager Kristen Meersman said Thursday not all of the construction work is connected.

Meadowland Crescent is torn up due to a new water line and road reconstruction being done, she said.

Next week, Todd Road is closed from Monday to Friday due to water service changes being made at four existing homes that had water-line connections in the back.

That work also affects Crestwood and Vaughn, but only Todd Road is closed for the week.

A third project going on in Barnhartvale is the installation of water-meter pits, this week being done on Robbins Range Road and Barnhartvale Road.

While most meters are going inside homeowners’ basements, the large lots in Barnhartvale often have outdoor water taps that split off from the intake outside of the house.

Meersman explained that to ensure all water use is counted for each home, meters are being installed at the property line.

Some residents might also notice some roadwork being done around the drop-off area at R.L. Clemitson elementary school, she said.
