A proposed manufactured home subdivision in Pritchard is nearing pre-sales, six years after its developer started on the project.
The board of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District gave approval Thursday to an application for the first phase of a planned 65-unit development. It will allow 24 units in the first stage.
“We’re almost ready to go,” said developer Dwane Scott. “We could start construction tomorrow.”
Scott said he hopes to start marketing soon. Early construction could begin before the end of the year. He valued the project when completed at about $15 million.
It will be targeted at people aged 55-plus. The four-hectare development is located across the road from parkland along the South Thompson River. Scott said amenities will include a community centre and garden.
He expects prices to start at about $180,000 for a unit on a strata lot.
