What has happened to our language?
Why do so many people continue to say: “I would have went,” “Her and I,” “Him and I,” “For you and I,” “Between you and I,” “I don’t know nothing,” etc.
I am an old immigrant. When we were taught English, in Belgium, we learned to say: “I go,” “I went,” and “I would have gone.”
