It's my understanding Robert Koopmans is to be the newest editor at Kamloops Daily News. After reading his "On the Fly" article in the September/October Currents I am somewhat astonished at his perspectives on human life, animal life and nature.
I do appreciate his interest in hunting and his daughter’s education. However; "bucks, dogs and flowers" — all are human? And, humans are no more or less valuable?
Clearly, I don't want to be hunting in the same area code as Robert! Obviously, this must be the typical 'all is earth' postmodern ideology.
And yet, "humans" have the knowledge and apparently "tremendous potential" to affect all the others? What “others,” since they're all human?
