Five turns out to be lucky number

Last week, my family welcomed our latest addition. She's a beautiful baby girl who came into this world at 9.2 pounds, at 5:55 on a Saturday night. Five just happens to be my lucky number as well! And talk about luck. Being in Kamloops, and having the amazing care and support at Royal Inland Hospital is the luckiest thing to ask for.

I wish I knew every single person by name, because my family and I couldn't have felt more at home. The compassion and helpfulness we received was second to none. I know nowadays it's easy to throw blame and anger around about our health care system, and sadly we don't hear enough good stories.

I can tell you, it could not have been a better four days for us. So, to everybody at RIH who helped us welcome our daughter into this life, and make her first few days with us as seamless as possible, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
