A 41-year-old Kamloops man is in hospital with serious head injuries after he crashed while dirt biking up a steep incline near Duffy Lake.
Rural RCMP responded to a call for help from the victim's two friends at about 1 p.m.
The trio had been manoeuvring up a very steep trail at Greenstone Mountain south of Kamloops when the victim lost control of his bike and crashed into a tree, suffering serious head injuries.
It took three hours for RCMP and Search and Rescue personnel to trek up Greenstone Mountain, stabilize the man and haul him down by stretcher to an awaiting ambulance.
The man's name was not release. As of press time Sunday, his condition was unknown.
