A trio of transients shocked a woman Wednesday morning when she arrived home to find them sleeping in her apartment.
A preliminary police report was unclear on how long the woman had been away from her apartment in Gordonhorn Gardens on Summit Drive. But when she returned home at 11 a.m. and opened her locked door, she found her place "ransacked" and two women and a man sound asleep, according to the report.
She didn't recognize the people and hadn't given them permission to stay there so police were called.
RCMP responded with half a dozen units and a dog and surrounded the building.
The trio was removed without incident and were to remain in custody for 24 hours while an investigation determined what led them to the dwelling.
By press time, police hadn't determined whether anything was stolen or whether someone else had given the transients permission to be there.
