The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of three people who died Friday evening after being involved in a crash near Kamloops.
They are: Sada Mudaliar, 49; his mother-in-law Zaruna Begum, 60; and his brother-in-law, Shahir Khan, 41. All three were residents of New Westminster.
The three were passengers in a large SUV, which was travelling northbound along the Coquihalla Highway when the driver lost control. The vehicle overturned and went down a steep 30-metre embankment five kilometres south of the Logan Lake turnoff.
Two others in the vehicle, including the driver, survived the crash. The three passengers were all confirmed dead at the scene.
