Whether it’s Robbie, Rosie or Wall-E, robots have come a long way over the years.
Now kids in Kamloops can get a chance to create their own AstroBoy, R2D2 or C3PO.
The Big Little Science Centre is starting a Robotics Club after school on Fridays for kids age 10 or older. Club members will create their own robots and learn to program them.
Students can work at their own pace and will use the Lego Mindstorm Robotics program. Those who are ready for it will be taught advanced programming.
The club has two sessions this fall: Oct. 26 to Nov. 16 and Nov. 23 to Dec. 14. It runs from about 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
