A basket full of roses from Regina Baker and Irene Hawkins to the Kamloops Senior Outlook Society for the picnic the society arranged on Aug. 22 at Prince Charles Park. “The lunch, served with a smile and kind word to everyone, was delicious and the tables thoughtfully arranged under the trees so we did not have to sit out under the hot noonday sun. A few lawn games followed lunch and then it was time for the HandyDart to return us home. A great big thank-you to all who made this picnic such an enjoyable time for everyone who attended. The picnic is only one of the many services and fun events that the society provides throughout the year, and the volunteers give so willingly of their time. Thank-you from all the seniors in our community.”
A ward full of roses from Margaret (Peggy) Szilagyi to all who helped her during her stay at Royal Inland Hospital. “I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and nurses, physio and technicians involved in my wonderful care during my recent hospital stay. And a special thank-you to doctors James Howie, Jan Takahashi and Jennifer Oakes. And a little lady from housekeeping named Susan who was so good to me. She was a sweetheart.”
